Since its origins the Congregation of Mary Reparatrix has offered and shared its mission with lay men and women as well as priests who have felt drawn to this call.
The work of Reparation is so vast that it can reach out to sectors of society that are more easily accessible to lay people than to the sisters. It is in this sense that Vatican II recommends that Christian lay people become involved in politics, culture, the family, and the economy so as to promote a just society, above all where the poor are massacred and exploited.
This mission is lived by following the example of Mary, who opted for the poor (cf. Luke 1,39ff) and lived among them in simplicity, “without pomp and noise”, but without fear of risk.
This way of life can transform, little by little, the mentality of a world in which neo-capitalism wreaks havoc and divides people into poor and rich.
These lay people participate in all the means that the Congregation offers them to maintain the spirit of reparation.
They are present in different countries.
