Today the sisters continue to work in the traditional ministries of retreats and catechetics. These ministries have been broadened to include helping people towards fullness of life by means of spiritual accompaniment, parish work, christian formation, liturgical animation, instruction of catechumens, movements for young people and adults, presence to the sick, human promotion of women and collaboration with groups that work for justice and the dignity of the human person. They also respond to calls to collaborate in ecumenical projects. They hear the cry of the poor in remote towns and villages and work in pastoral situations which often require patience, sensitivity and creativity, as they attend to human needs so that people are better able to hear the Word of God.
As women of contemplative prayer they listen to the spirit and respond in new ways to the call of love which is at the heart of their charism of Reparation. From hospital chaplaincy to the promotion of women, from the work of evangelisation to the promotion of consciousness of our responsibility to care for the earth and all of creation, the sisters continue to listen to the heart of the world.
Throughout their history the same call is heard : “To be Mary for Jesus”
The external expressions change but the spirit remains the same:
With and like Mary, to know Jesus Christ
and make him known,
to love him and make him loved,
to adore him in truth and
bring others to adore him.
